Outburst is delighted to work again with our friends at the Ulster Museum, Belfast, to present this lovely event on August 1st, during Belfast Pride. As an exclusive treat to coincide with their brilliant Gerard Dillion exhibition, the show’s curator (Riann Coulter) will take us on a guided tour of the show and explore how Dillon’s sexuality influenced his work.
Born in 1916 in West Belfast, Dillon is one of Ireland’s most beloved painters. He moved to London to be able to be out as a gay man and his work is hugely influenced by his experience of being an “outsider”. The event is free to attend but places are strictly limited so please email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a spot on the tour. Thanks to Riann and all at the museum for helping us to put this together.
